Is it normal to lose your virginity before having a relationship?

I'm a 25-year-old virgin who's never been in a relationship. I remembered that my best friend from high school was a perfect match for me. I got back in touch with her, we met up and some angry words were exchanged. We're still friends, but I now know that I still have a few years to go until I'm mature enough to have a relationship.

Anyway, after that I remembered one of my slutty friends from high school. I asked if we could be friends with benefits (after leading up to it) and she said yes, once she's single.

I don't know if that would be normal or not, since I've never had a relationship at all. So, please help me out, IIN.

I say it is ok if you really want to. I think joybird is probably right though, you probably will get emotionally attached and end up getting hurt because of it.

You're too inexperienced to have a FWB, coz you're expecting not to get hurt - Wrong! You are going to become emotionally attached to this slut. Why bother? Just wait until the right person comes along for you.
