Is it normal to lose control of my bowels when i'm sick?

I know this question is sick but I really need to know. Well here is the story. One time I got the flu and everytime I threw up I would lose control of my bowels. Is that normal?

    I lose control of my bowels daily. I spend half of everyday on the can.

    yes this is normal, i know so many people this has happened to! i'm paranoid about it every time i get a stomach virus so if my tummy is upset at all, i'll get sick in a trash can (empty with a new bag in it of course) or if it's dry heaves just hang over the tub but keep my butt on the toilet. my friend said that happened to her and she was so embarrassed b/c she was too sick to clean it up and her sis had to clean up her and her mess.

    I've had the reverse situation when I had the flu. Sitting on the toilet & then grabbing for the waste basket to throw up in.

    yeah thats normal. the flu can be pretty horrible sometimes.
