Is it normal to "look for a partner" all the time?

Everywhere and everytime I'm out shopping, walking home from school .etc, and there are attractive girls (my age) around, i start thinking "could we be a couple? What does she think of me? How is she? Would she like my personality?" And so on...and it happens whenever i see an attractive girl! It feels like i'm looking for a partner all the time, and that  i'm the only one doing so. Also, if one of the girls look at me, if just for a second, i think they are considering me. I then later think that she wasn't looking at me...she was probably just strafing past me with her eyes by random, like every other person there.
Does anyone else feel the same way -(looking for a potential parner 24/7), and is it normal?

Its a little hard to explain, but i hope some of you get what I mean /:-)

I do this all the time, and i hate it. It always just ends with me dissapointed or feeling bad. Im trying to get better but everywhere i go i consider every guy i think might fit me. But ofcourse my friends always say im oblivious when a guy does like me... But i HONESTLY dont see it! Trust me your not alone and its incredibly frustrating. Looking in the wrong places i guess...
