Is it normal to look at the glass half empty?

Whenever I look at the clock and I know that I have to go to sleep early because I have school or sports the next morning, I start being a worry wart in a way. Instead of thinking 'i have 5 hours until bed, that's a lond time', I think 'uh oh I only have 5 hours left'. It's starting to ruin my spare time. Even when it's the weekend I can't stop thinking about Monday and how it will suck.

The glass is never half full or half empty, it's inefficient given the volume of content =)

Here's the way I look at things:

If the glass started out full and half's gone, it's half empty.

If the glass started out empty, and you poured half a glass of water, etc., it's half full.

  • For some reason the story cut off so I couldn't put this in:

I always think of things the bad way. I am totally negative and I really just want to stop. It just ruins the time I have doing what I want. Instead of having fun today, I think of how tomorrow won't be fun. Is it normal to be like that?

You'll have plenty of time to sleep when you're old. Don't worry so much :)

I don't get how the title is related to the content of your story. It's either half empty or half full.

thinking of a glass half empty means u think in more of a negative way so her title makes perfect sense. instead of being excited about having a couple hours before bed she dreads it and it kills her mood/plans.

try not to dread it though. have something planned and get lost in the activity then it wouldn't be so bad.
