sometimes i'll see someone, or be talking to someone, and i'll get a flash of what they would look like killed, whether it would be old age, unhappy spouse put a knife in them, so on.

    Mainly, I imagine the death being from disease. It seems either involuntary, or it's just a tricky thought to stop - much like you would spend part of the night shaking away thoughts of your recent nightmare.
