Is it normal to live with someone before dating them?

Okay, So I just turned eighteen. I have been having the worst time where I'm living now, and the past year has been hell. Not only did I get abandoned by the man who took my virginity and claimed to want a relationship with me, but I was sexually assaulted in the city I adored. Well I was offered a place to live by a family friend I have known and loved for years. Anyways, I'm thinking ahead and am curious...what if we become more than friends? We will have skipped a whole step and be living with each other before ever having dated! I KNOW that isn't normal...but what do I do?

Actually it is VERY normal for such a thing to happen.

Don't be surprised to realize that almost every single Male who wants to sleep with you and tells you all the nice things that will end a "Forever After" is bullshitting you.

a VAST MAJORITY of Men just want to have sex and move on, few are actually true.

As for your situation... No, it's not weird at all, it doesn't matter how you remain friends until it escalates into something greater.
If someone tells you otherwise - know that they want you believe a ton of bs basically..

if you like the person, then living together first isnt a big deal. It lets you know that you're compatible in the 'living together' way, just don't persue a relationship just because you're feeling sad or whatever and want to fill a hole and they are a convenient person to date.

Have your own bedroom, get to know the guy, and take it from there.
