Is it normal to live in a place you love but hate the people here?

How does one cope and deal with a situation like mine.. My house is awesome and so is my neighborhood but I seriously can't stand the behavior of my husband when his mom is here too.. "Yup she lives with us "She plays out her victim role card quite well ( instigates and creates drama to stress him out)...since she knows I hate her and my hubby falls for it every damn time.. And when he is gone and it's just me and her here we ignore each other completely but the problem is he only works 3 days a week so I really don't have alone time at all.. I'm gonna pull my hair out...I don't think it's fair that I should have to leave my house daily just to have peace cuz I love it here except I have to deal with two childish morons..

Yes, unfortunately it is normal. Most of the time where the best people are is in the worst place, and where terrible people are at is sometimes the best place!

I agree. Not that they are terrible people, but I live in a prosperous city (due to a mining boom) and i walk down the city street and everyone i pass is glum and unsmiling, cold and grey. Compare that to when I visit a third world country where people have nothing and are living in squalor, but they're smiling, happy, laughing and warm. Sometimes i think the less you have, the more you appreciate the few things you do.

  • I have been trying to talk to those codependent imbeciles for the past two years and what I developed was stomache issues cuz I'm trying to wait patiently till the monster in law croaks( I know it's mean to say) but she is so selfish and narcissistic I can't help but to be mean to her ... Because when I was nice she disrespected me even more .. I'm at my wits end now with the fat old 80 yr old cow that I absolutely loathe...

    • easier said than done when hubby says to me "why are you ignoring my mom for?...I respond with "I don't like her"....which pisses him off even more..the only time its fairly decent around here is when he actually takes his ass to work and isn't watching my every move when he stays home from work....sadly he only works 3 days a week so that he can "stay home "just to watch how I treat the old hag who he brought to live with us cause he is codependent on her and she is narcissistic ...
