I can't even listen to Joy Division..
Ha, I grew up listening to these great 80s, 90s groups. I also loved Depeche Mode and others I forget offhand.
I felt New Order was way better than Joy Division. How long was 'Bizarre Love Triangle' kept alive-cause of how good it was? rhetorical question.
That was such a great period in my life (I was in high school at the time), bittersweet in some ways. I was more of romantic then than I am now.
The music today is shit by comparison. I don't fault the artists for trying but they just had more quality, dare I say 'Substance' (pun intended) in the past.
I'm the same. I really like New Order and Electronic and some of the other bands spawned from Joy Division members but apart from "Love Will Tear Us Apart", I really don't like Joy Division.
It's kind of a big deal because they're from my city and it's sometimes seen as sacrilege not to support the bands Manchester is proud of: The Smiths / Morrissey, New Order / Joy Division, The Stone Roses, James, Happy Mondays, Inspiral Carpets, even Oasis to some degree although nobody is really *that* proud of Oasis. Or the Bee Gees.
Well, you don't listen to Green Day- so that is normal for those who aren't sheep. Congrats, you have your faculties in order.
I prefer New Order to Joy Division. I actually think most people did it was just not popular with reviewers of the time.
No, sorry.. that's very not normal!
See, you have one of the greatest bands on earth, Curtis kills himself and they become a pretty mediocre electro-crap.
Of course, I'm kidding.
Listen to whatever you like, New Order had some good tunes too :)
