The typical "Oh-em-gee, this song is totally about me, I can relate to this, wouldn't you agree?".
Most of the time when you experience that, it's because you relate with the musician's experiences in some way, even if minuscule. Usually the goal of a musician is to connect because that's what draws the attention of the listener
Is it the singers pain you're feeling, or is the singer relating the song to some pain that you have experienced in your life?
