Is it normal to listen to a particular song over and over?

Sometimes I'll have a song that just clicks and I have the desire to listen to it over and over. Anyone else do the same? Or know if there's a reason for this?

I do that a lot. When a buy a new cd thats all i listen to for weeks. I will even memorize the order of the songs so when i hear it somewhere else ill automaticaly sing the next song after it is over. When i get box sets its the worst:P

I do that all the time. i tend to become obsessed with certain things for a while, and then move on to the next one.

I listened to the way I are by timberland and kerrie Hilson all the way to Paris back in 2007 and I'm still in love with the song even now. xx

Only if it is Crocodile Rock and you are dancing in your underwear.

Of course it's normal. This happens to me when I hear a new song I like, and I just can't stop listening to it. Usually it fades away after 7 years of listening to the same song over and over.

Definetly normal. I'm currently doing this with an old favorite of mine from The Used called Buried Myself Alive.

Yeah, this happens to me every now and again. Although, I try not to indulge myself. I kinda ended up killing the song Mr Blue Sky last year by repeating it a ridiculous amount of times.

At the minute I'm doing that with Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen and the Boxer by Simon and Garfunkel, so I'm not so worried since those songs could never die.

What song are you talking about:)?

I did the same thing. I hadn't heard it for years and then it was on that car advert and I thought, "Wow. I forgot how good this is" and I was on it like a pigeon on a kebab.

P.S. I also agree you can never kill Bohemian Rhapsody or The Boxer. Some songs are just too good. I'm adding Life on Mars into that group too.

You could definitely add Life on Mars to that group, it's one of the best songs ever, and definitely one of my favourite! I'm kinda obsessed with Bowie at the moment:)

Heh, you need to be careful with Bowie. It can become an obsession that never really goes away. I think I'm stuck with Bowiemania for life! And it's been a gateway drug to other Bowie-related musicians. :)

I've been in love with him since I was like 8, when I first discovered him. Besides the Spice Girls, he was my first favourite, although I don't think the Spice Girl count since I was 4 at the time:P Also, it's quite embarrassing.

I'll make sure to be careful though:P!

Yay! I was about eight too. I heard Space Oddity on someone's radio when we were camping and didn't know who it was. I went years without knowing and when I finally heard it again and began to find out about the David, it was like an epiphany. :D

I know it's a stupidly tough question, but... favourite three Bowie songs?
