Is it normal to like your friend even if they are in a relationship

I like my friend, she's helped me through a lot and I've told her quite a bit about me. I can tell her anything that she wants to know. However she has a boyfriend (she's straight, I'm bi.) and I'm so conflicted to tell her for fear she'll never talk to me again because of this. What should I do? I mean, I want to tell her, but I don't want to tell her.

She? I thought I was the only she in you're life.

I think you should tell her, but do it in a way that acknowledges that you know you can't have her and doesn't make her feel bad about being in a relationship. As she's a close friend who is accustomed to helping you through a lot, she'll probably be compassionate and try and help you get over her, as good friends do for each other.

If you really like her and think it wont just be a fleeting crush, or an infatuation due to how close you are as friends, then find an appropriate time to tell her, BUT only if your friendship is strong enough (and it sounds like it is).
