Is it normal to like to eat bananas when the peal turns black?
My brother does it. He says that's when they're the best tasting. Yellow is best, green is okay, but black is gross to me.

"On a traffic light green means go and yellow means yield, but on a banana it's just the opposite. Green means hold on, yellow means go ahead, and red means where the fuck did you get that banana?"
-Mitch Hedburg
it's when they are at their ripest...therefor at their sweetest. Whats odd with that. It's the peal being brown we're talking about here right, not the inside?
That's when they're the best! And the black ones make better banana bread! YUM!
A banana is one of the few fruit that continues to ripen once picked from the vine. It's just personal preference when you like to eat yours.
I like them green. Almost sour tasting. :)
I think when there black, it's because they stayed out too long and have absorbed oxygen. I guess that would let it sit and wallow in its juices and thus bringing the flavour more out.
