I'm white, I have no desire to change that. I also have better things to do with my time then stand around fluorescent bulbs, I am not a plant.
I'm mexican but light skinned ~^_^~ I love it! It just looks perfect on me, because i have Dark black hair and I LOVE red lipstick, so it looks beautiful with my skin color. I tan easily -which sucks- but thankfully my face never really gets darker, just my body... Where was i going with this?... OH YEAH!! Being Pale ROCKS! lol
I'm very pale (Celtic ancestry) and, after years of trying to get tanned and just getting burned, I've given up and embraced my inner (and outer) paleness.
I like pale. I like my girls pale. It just sucks that most girls seem to like tanned guys. I can see why. It makes muscles look more defined and gives at least a subconscious impression that you actually get outdoors.
I'm very pale too and I love it. I'll never understand people who purposely tan themselves. It's also a shame when a beautiful pale gale tans themself.
well you should get at least 10 minutes of sun a day but its better for you to be pale than have a tan. a tan is just the sun cooking you and increasing your chance of getting skin cancer.
I use to like being pale myself, but I was pale in A nasty pasty way which was actually disgusting and paleness can be quite pretty actually. I usually prefer dark skin though.
Well I'm anemic so I can't help being pale, but I like it. People should learn to love themselves and shouldn't have to sit under UV rays to make them feel beautiful.
I'm pretty pale...but not to a sickening extent.I like it, and i'm not to keen on the whole "roasting yourself alive" process of tanning....plus, i steer clear of tanning booths...after watching that ep on 1000 ways to die...no way XD [even if she did fall asleep...]
me too but im just damned natural soft brown skined i guess....cause maybe im asian i dont really know.....
A natural tan is just your skin protecting itself by producing melanin, which turns brown on UV exposure. It is not unhealthy if it is done in moderation and done over a period of time using adequate protection. The risks increase hugely when people bake for hours in the sun to attempt to tan darker than the spectrum that comes easily to them depending on their genetics. Some people will literally develop like a polaroid in half an hour, but if you're white to begin with you have no hope of getting dark like that no matter how long you spend baking.
To answer the original question, I think it's unusual, but certainly normal to want to preserve paleness of complexion, and if the skin is in excellent health (near enough flawless) it can look beautiful. I would love to be pale, but my skin is too marred by scars and freckles to pull it off nicely, so I aim for a light tan to smooth things out.
I am Hispanic but love pale skin. If I was white I would totally be pale.
What the fuck is wrong with you pussy? Listen boss, If you wanna get some fuckin pussy tonight you need to get a fresh haircut and a nice tan.
Im pale so im told and I like to keep it that way being tanned is overrated.
A long time ago, being pale was a sign of wealth and tan a sign that you were poor (worked). Well, now the roles have switched, and tan is a sign of wealth because you have the luxury of time to lay out. Or something like that. Google it. Lol.
But, I know tanning feels good, warm and comforting, and it also makes you feel good by reacting with your body.
I enjoy being pale. I may have developed this preference from watching too many Tim Burton movies, because Johnny Depp always has this otherworldly, pale-and-sickly skin tone whenever he is in the starring role.
My sister is the exact opposite; to quote her, she wants to be "tan like a Mexican". She may have developed her preference from watching too much Jersey Shore, seems how she follows Snooki and The Situation on Facebook...
Well, how pale? Both my brother and my sister are albino and that's very rare
It's actually healthier to get a fake tan (spray I mean not sunbed) then sitting in the sun. The sun ages you and can cause cancer.
Also paleness suits some people, just like being tanned suits others.
Calling someone "disgusting" because they're pale is SO shallow and offensive- that's your opinion, not everyone elses.
