Is it normal to like to be headshaved and shaving one's head oneself??

I like to remain headshaved although my parents dont agree with it for in our community being headshaved is not considered good, and everyone walking around asks you why are you shaved? has someone died( it's our culture to get a headshave if someone in the family dies) but i dont bother about it. i do it against their will . i like being perfectly smoothly shaved. here barber rates are high and also they dont agree to shave you against the grain, they say it will cause irritation to skin and blister. so, i finally decided to shave me myself. now i shave my head on my own, to perfect smoothness even against the gradient.although i usually develop a few cut on my head, but thats ok. is it normal to do so,although its a bit time consuming so i searched the market for a straight razor but couldnt find one nearby, so i continue with my gillete vector razor. also i get turned up by thinking and site of headshaved girls. is it normal???????????
