Is it normal to like the smell of sand?

My mom used to tell me that when i was little that i would eat mud.. Of course i know thats normal, most every little kid did.. But ever since then i have liked everytime i smell dirt/sand.. most the time wet sand. For example when they water the basball fields i love that smell! Does anyone else like it too? is it normal?

    It's normal, especially if it brings back memories of childhood. Smells are connected very closely with emotional memory.
