Is it normal to like the pain felt after working out?

This is otherwise known as DOMS or delayed onset muscle soreness. I don't know why but I love the pain and soreness felt by my muscles after the day I have worked out or something like that. It usually lasts about two days sometimes longer depending on how intense of a workout I was doing. Sometimes I work myself to the point where I cannot move with out wincing in pain and even sitting down or simply breathing hurts, but I love every moment of it and I actually miss it when the feeling is gone. So is this normal?

If you're usually feeling the pain for more than two days I would recommend increasing your protein intake.

I think it's normal, because I often feel the same way after exercise. It's a pain that you know you have worked for. I can't say I love the feeling, but I do feel chuffed with myself after doing sit-ups until I can't physically move anymore. Although, I'm bummed out the next day when I've worked too hard that I have to rest for a day or two. So judging by what I have just said, I would say it's normal! Just try not to pull a muscle.

My drill instructor (when I was in boot camp) once told me pain is just weakness leaving the body during PT workouts. I kinda took to it.

Unfortunately I got a bit lazy lately. I used to love the feeling too, I'm not ripped like I used to be.

It's not wrong to enjoy the feeling because it's your body telling yourself that you've worked hard
Just don't over do it otherwise it'll be your body telling you you've done too much

I like that feeling too, although I work out regularly enough that I rarely feel it anymore :(
