Is it normal to like taking care of your drunk girlfriend?

My boyfriend and I are young adults and like to get drunk sometimes when we see each other. However, I have a lower tolerance and often get more drunk then him. When I'm like this, he seems to get a kick out of taking care of me, making me drink water, babying me, getting wet rags for my face, etc. I feel like his child. Even though I'm drunk, I'm very capable and not messy at all. He once even told me he likes taking care of me when I'm drunk. Is this normal?

How is this even a question? He looks after you when you’re drunk, surely you can’t begrudge that. Regardless of being male or female, he could leave you in the gutter feeling like shit and vulnerable. How is this a bad thing? Wish there were more people like this around. Like caring is such a bad thing ..

If you love someone you find cuteness in the small things.

Maybe he's just a caring guy and knows when you need help, even if you think you don't. I have a gf with health issues who takes a lot of pain meds, and, on the occasion that we do go out, can drink too much, really messing her up. It's not often, but I know it going in; She's going to go on social overload, drink too much, which will mess with her pain meds, and I'm going to end up taking care of her, either the during and post-puking, or, her drunken-bitch mode, where she'll try walking home (which lasts about four seconds) and rambling about whatever.

It's easier for me to take care of the drunken sick her than the drunken bitch her. Drunken bitch her has actually made me consider leaving her wherever we're at, even though drunken sick her does tend to embarrass me with bar or restaurant staff when they continually ask "Is she ok?".

That's the way it should be. People who love each other should want to take of each other.
