I'm not depressed or emo or whatever. I just like screamo. Nobody else I know likes it, but I do. They tell me I must have some deeper conflict.

    no mayou dont have an inner conflict just because you like something like screamo
    screamo is usualy listened too by lil kids trying to look evil dark and as if they have some big bad background when in reality there just little kids that get pissed off because they have to clean there rooms

    It's normal, just uncommon.

    Personally, I just don't like it because I hate people screaming/being loud in general.

    @krample: I forgot, yep DIO made the world a good place to live(by good I mean....undescribable)right now, screamo can resurrect DIO if they want, really awesome.

    it's normal to like any music. i like some bands that scream in their music, like alesana, attack attack, & a day to remember.

    Everyone has their likes and preferences when it comes to music. You're not alone or else the bands wouldnt be available for download/purchase/etc.

    it is all down to personal preference. what you like is different to what other people like. for example i love classical guitar yet my best friend loves heavy metal. two different genre's of music, they have nothing in common yet we like different things. it is perfectly normal and dont let anyone tell you otherwise

    No. Unlike most forms of music that promote sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll, Screamo hones in on the frailty and pussification of the male species while also falsely representing heavy music of any sort. It is a widely accepted theory, that, if continued to be allowed to be heard anywhere, Screamo will wake the dead and buried grunge icons of the early 1990's-- thus creating, what progressive theologians have dubbed, "Day of the Temple of the Dog". It is said, that on this day, a new world order will be created from the dust-laden memories of rock legends gone, the from the depths of hell a leader will arise and make all right with the earth once more. His name will be known to mortals as DIO.
