Is it normal to like rave music ... but not rave?

ok so I normally listen to rock (screamo) but a few weeks ago I got rlly into rave music like as in the tecno but I HATE pop music with a passion >=( which didn't make any sense because they are so similar now a days .... I like beat and the tempo I guess I also don't rave...and never will ..... so why do I like it? It's Nothing like what I listen to.

    Bit of advice try to go to a rave see if u like it

    Yep. Normal. My situation exactly, in fact. Started with WARP and just couldn't stop. But I don't go to raves :)

    I grew up with tiesto - went to a few raves (mind blowing) and seen him live numerous times. It goes off. Maybe you should try a festival and see if you like it.

    I've never been to a rave in my life, yet about 90% of the music I listen to is techno. It's been that way ever since I was 15 (I'm almost 21 now).
