Me and you are in the same boat.I enjoy a good nightmare. One that will feel as if Im being chased by criminals that are shooting at me or one that feels as if Im drowning in a big body of water.I sometimes wish I dreamed something so scary that I wont be able to wake up to know if it was a nightmare or not.Thats how much I like horror/scary things(including movies).I have yet to come across a scary movie that will scare the living crap outta me....btw Im not suicidal at all.
I like them too somewhat. When I wake up I feel so relieved when I realized that what I dreamt about didnt happen. Last night, for instance, I had a dream that there were pictures of huge spiders dangling on my class website and in addition, I'm supposed to take this mechanical engineering class this spring and the website was for calc III which was extremely anxiety-provoking. And at that I dreamt that i got a C+ in a class that I was sure to get an A in and am actually relying on getting an A in (still havent gotten that grade back yet).
Nevertheless when I woke up I felt amazing when I realized that it was all a dream :)
I don't get this I am usually freaked out and shaking and sweating after I wake up from a horrible nightmare.
I'm not sure if this is normal, rare cases maybe. Don't worry about it but some people may find it weird that you like getting killed in your dreams. What would happen if that happened in real life?!
It's time to stop playing fantasy and face reality!
I don't see why not. You're a macabre/noir consumer unaffected by horror.
