For me personally, there are some is it normal members that have been extraordinarily kind and supportive, more so than any of my RL friends or family. They put effort and care into ameliorating me above my struggles, even though we have [technically] never met. I notice this happening for other users as well.

Oh, and I'm not just referring to the typical few who stand out, although their input is undoubtedly appreciated and they deserve a bundle of thanks as well. *Thank you.*

It's just that, I believe, the MAJORITY of is it normal users are genuinely wonderful caring individuals. They have an incredible capacity for empathy towards strangers who are enduring difficult times or for those who feel commonly unaccepted in certain areas of their lives.

    1) Thanks for posting, you made me learn a new word today.

    2) I don't think that the IIN users are more empathetic than "real life" people. It's more like because we are anonymous, we come off as more caring and empathetic than we really are.

    Anyways, yeah it's normal, and a lot of people on here are awesome!

    I stayed because of the people. When I'm feeling alone, I try to find a place. I go to a lot of them and where I stick is where I feel I can fit in. I fit in on IIN. I'm part of it, people accept me, not many people want to kill me (so far, it's less than twenty).

    It's a rare thing and I feel lucky. I could fit in anywhere, given time. But I feel like I fit in with you lot without needing to adapt. You get me and I get you. It's a good deal. I can be myself here.

    Also, a person here had a dream about me that involved the expulsion of bodily fluids. I challenge anyone not to be flattered by that.

    Lol, you can find every type of person here! The toilet mouths, those dorky people, the really friendly people, the "cool" people, the "other" people, and those people you never want to mess with.

    I agree. It does seem like a lot of the people on here are actually very nice people. Of course we might come across a few here and there that leave a really nasty comment, but at the end of the day... yes, this site does have some very kind and caring people.

    Yeah, everyone here is pretty much the shit. :) I find that I don't "fit" in a lot of places. I've been around on the internet for quite a while and I've jumped around in terms of websites I frequent. Here more than most other places I've truly felt accepted.
