I was raised as an only child, however I did have an older brother who passed away when I was really little. So even though I don't have any brothers now(I'm a girl), I still get turned on and even masterbate reading incest stories. But it's only big bro/lil sis ones that do it for me. Could this connect to the loss of my own brother, or is it normal?
TOTALLY NORMAL! I have a younger brother, and when he is a little older, I plan on incesting him like crazy. So, you're not the only girl that has these feelings.

It's natural to be curious about things that are taboo. A lot of sexual fantasy comes from this. The incest taboo is there for a reason. Not, as many people think, the idea of congenital birth defects, but instead a much older reason - that sexual jealousy in families causes schisms that weaken the strength of a familial unit (very important thousands of years ago when life was much tougher than it is now and independence wasn't really an option).
I think it's normal to fantasise about things that are taboo but, of course, not to act on them (apart from roleplaying with an accepting partner). Your brother may have led to you exploring this taboo, yes, but don't be surprised if people aren't accepting of it. I've given you a logical response but most people's emotional response (mine included) is "Ick!"
