Is it normal to like gay tv and things but not be gay?

I like gay story's and some gay artwork. I am not gay but if it has an interesting story-line I enjoy it. I like some gay fan art depending on what its for. I like the fanart for invader zim even though I think yoia is disgusting. I feel like if people know I watch this kind of stuff they will think I am gay though. Is it gay to like gay subject material even if you are straight or does it mean something else?

    Gay? as in homosexual, right? well then, I don't really see any problem liking yaoi or anything homosexual-related. If you enjoy it, then there you go.
    But I can't fully grasp why people would say 'gay to like gay subject-material'. I don't think the situation of having an affinity for that is gay, not at all. You would mean, acceptable in society's eyes. Those people who think you're gay for liking gay stuff should mind their own business, whatever you do isn't affecting them so why should they care about whether you enjoy a good homo story. Just leave them be and continue with whatever that floats your boat. :)

      Well I actually hate yoia and find it disgusting. Not for the fact its gay either but generally the theme is a pedo raping a child or some stupid love story. When its a love story its one of the most boring plot lines ever. I mean things like Degrassi has a lot of gay situations and relationships which I find interesting to watch. I realize I am watching the gay couples but its fun watching the drama unfold. I have seen some fanart of gay pairing though for some cartoons like zim and I love the artwork. I know its two men but I really love the style.

    Normal. Being gay doesn't have to be a requirement to enjoy gay things.
