Is it normal to like disco music?

I've recently started listening to disco music from the 70s (Bee Gees, Donna Summer, Village People, Boney M etc.) and I can't understand why people hated and still hate disco so much. It sounds great and it's nice to dance to. Do I have a horrible taste in music to like Disco?

    But certainly it is normal. Now the fashion? Maybe not so much.

    ^ yeah, cause we all know music makes you gay. I remember being a teen and hearing my first Alanis Morissette song. It instantly turned me into a raging lesbian and I've never been right since.
