Is it normal to like damaged shoes?

Whenever I buy new Converse, I try to wear them every day so they'll get dirty. I think they look better when they're worn out, it gives the impression that the owner really likes their shoes. ;)

My vans are beat to shit. Holes, worn out soles, dirty laces (checkered laces though). I love the way they look. Better than out of te box. They are the classic style too, not the new, fat shoes.

I think shoes that people skate in that arent super worn out i like it but i prefer to wear new stuff
