Is it normal to like burlesque style?

I love burlesque style. I love the hairstyles with the feathers and beautiful make up and corsets and feather boas, and long gloves. My lifestyle doesn't allow me to dress this way, as I have 3 kids and 2 dogs! But I wish sometimes I could escape into another world where I could have this sort of style. I do own corsets and sone things of this style. Is it normal to think like this or shall I just be who I have been all my life!

    Those were good times...!!! That's when women looked like, and dressed like women.. Nowadays, ratty jeans . shorts, a tee shirt, flip flops, hair that looks like a nest for creepy crawlies, and no make up, and out they go - thinking they look good... Au contraire... They don't know what good looking is all about...
    I, as a long time married crossdresser, with a very supportive, understanding, accepting, knowledgeable, and helpful wife, who has taught me all the traits to emulate women, from presentation, to walking, standing, sitting, mannerisms, make up, hair, nails, etc am probably more aware and versed on proper attire than mostof them out there nowadays..
    Apparel, dressing, was far more advanced that it is today for many. But then again, what do these kids know, they weren't around then, so they have NO guidelines to work with, except common sense - which obviously does not prevail..

    Just don't show anyone if you seeing as you've had a couple children I'm sure your body is already heading south. Can't be a pretty site.
