It's normal. I'm an androgynous lesbian and I have a couple of guy friends who say they like women like me. It's just like gay guys and fruit flies, only with the genders reversed.
I think it's normal. Women like that aren't afraid to be themselves. On top of all that, they can provide empathy on usually anything that concerns gender troubles.
To clarify further: I should've left out the lesbian part, because I'm more curious about the androgynous part.

Maybe it's because you relate to them (that is if your a heterosexual male) because you also love women.
