Is it normal to lie about being a virgin?

Not at all. I'm not encouraging you to lie, but allow me to explain. The two choices have hands.. Full grown hands.

If you say you're a virgin=
Some girls are willing to take that virginity away from you (Believe it or not). But on the other hand, girls may view you as inexperienced with sex, and they're looking for someone who they can judge, and tell their friends about.

If you say you're not a virgin= Girls will eventually ask you how much girls you have had sex with, to judge how good you are. But on the other hand, Girls may think you're unfaithful, and they will not like you.

I wouldn't want you to lie to your friends.. But you have better chances (to get a girl) if you say you're not a virgin. If they ask, tell them you had sex with 1 girl, but this was long ago.

i lie about it every now and then. just to see what ppl think. and yes i really am a virgin. i will only admit to this because no one here knows me :P

One) One lie leads to another , then to another - there is NOTHING wrong with being a virgin - 2) If you do lie and later get into a relationship with one of these girls - they're going to know it (unless they're a virgin too) because it's pretty easy to tell from inexperienced to the experienced

be honest about it. Girls really love guys with integrity and who are confident enough in themselves to take a social risk.

You should be proud and you can say it but I dont understand the culture of your place. I mean they cant attck and rape you or something but better to lie if for some reason you cant handle the pressure or will be bullied which I think is starge I am 32 and still a virgin but lie if it keeps you safe

And it's absolutely no one else's business if you don't want it to be. I think it's gross that it should be public knowledge. Be happy with who you are and make the right choices for yourself. When you are older you will be proud that you were thinking of yourself first before worrying about the opinions of these people in your life right now ( who you probably won't see ever again after school is over anyway).

You shouldnt lie about it...i get asked all the time by people at school too, i just tell them the truth! im 16 and a virgin and honestly dont care what people think about it. it may not be "normal" but it doesnt mean its a bad thing! its the truth and its my decision and my life..so if they got a problem, they just need to get a life of their own. if u get embarassed about telling people the truth about yourself, you worry wayyy too much about what people think of you.

Technically you arent a virgin. Think about this. You have a penis. The penis has always been part of your body. Now your body came from the uterus in your moms body. How did it get out of the body? Through the vagina. Your penis is part of your body. Your whole body was inside the vagina.
So unless you are a girl or were born by unnatural means ( c-section) than you were not even a virgin as a newborn

I've had plenty of ppl ask me if I'm I virgin. Not that its any of their business, but I just tell them straight up that I am. It's nothing to be ashamed of. They make a bigger deal out of it than I do...which is pretty funny.

First of all, there is nothing wrong with being a virgin. It's not something to be shameful of. I wish I'd waited until I was older and I'm sure a lot of other people here do to. Take pride in your virginity. It's not a bad thing.

Now, here's a dirty little secret of people your age: almost everyone HAS NOT done it. They feel the exact same pressure you do about being a virgin and THEY LIE about it too. Which makes it tougher on people like you who then feel compelled to lie about it.

Be brave. You could actually help someone who's facing your situation by simply being honest. Who knows how many other virgins are suffering in silence, ashamed of who they are because they feel like a freak for not having sex. Set a trend, be proud of who you are. There's nothing wrong with you.

No, it's not normal. Why lie about something as irrelevant as virginity? It's nothing to be ashamed of whether you are or aren't and speaking of which it is no one else's business on your sexual hystory so if you don't want to be embarrassed by them finding out you are one simple tell them don't worry about it. Who are they that you HAVE to tell them about your personal life?
