Is it normal to laugh a lot during a nosebleed?

I get nosebleeds quite often, it's only Wednesday and I've already had seven this week. I'm going to see a doctor about it, so the nosebleeds aren't my main concern right now. Whenever I have a nosebleed, especially a heavy one, I laugh and giggle at everything, I always smile and laugh when I'm holding a tissue to my nose and pinching it to stop the flow. I've noticed I get odd reactions from people when this happens in public, not the usual disgust at the fact that there is blood coming out of my nose, but total amazement and confusion as to why I am giggling like a madman. So, now I'm wondering, is it normal to laugh during a nosebleed?

  • That's because you're losing blood and your brain starts suffering from a lack of oxygen, which in turn causes it to regress to a more primal state.
