Is it normal to know people read your mind and not make eye contact?

I can't look people in the eye anymore. I'm too afraid that they'll be able to read my mind because the eyes open to the soul, and they'll be able to read my thoughts through the eyes. I don't know what to tell people when they ask why I'm not looking at them. Not even my parents I tell. Or my friends. Or anyone but here when I'm under an alias. I know people can read my thoughts cause some people have that ability, and I have to block them out. It seems like no one else knows people can do this. Does anyone else realize this fact, too, and what do you tell people? People ask me what's wrong. What do I tell them? How do I make them not suspicious of me?

    Why would you think "people" would care or take the time and effort to read YOUR mind? Don't you think they have enough of their own shit going on, that what's going on in your mind isn't really of any interest to them?

    I have a friend who once told me the same thing about peoplereading her mind if she makes eye contact! She was diagnosed with schizofrenia a few months ago. Yep
