    Isn't it sad with all the sickos out there you have to wonder things like this, yes it's 100% normal and a sign of affection, kids need love!

    Apparently in France, it's a custom and the same as a kiss on the cheek, so I'm saying normal.

    I'm not sure why you would find this odd. I'm an adult and I still kiss my mom on the lips. I kiss my daughter on the lips too. It's a sign of affection between parent and child.

    I'm European and even if we are very liberal in most issues that is not considered normal. I never found one person that considered that normal. We see that in USA pictures and everyone I know do have strong opinions about it.
    For my sake I couldn't care less. I'm totally amoral about it.

    I'm Irish, male, and have kissed all my friends and relatives, male or female, on the lips. It's normal!

    this aint normal. Thats not just a lil sign of affection, its intimicy with the opposite sex, its one step from making out. Its like saying having sex with them is just showing u love them thats bull
