Is it normal to keep using freederm?

Well, recently I'd gotten a few spots on my chin so instead of leaving them, I used Freederm facial cleanser. Suddenly I started getting a lot more spots and after I'd wash my face with the cleanser, my skin would be really dry, itchy, flaky, and my spots wouldn't disappear, it seems like I've gotten more of them.
My friends say that this is good and it means it's working, but I'm not too sure. I'm constantly putting moisturiser on my face because it begins to flake and it looks disgusting.
The uprise of spots was pretty random in the first place, Freederm just seemed to make it worse. I'm a teenager, yes, but I've always had pale, clean skin with dark circles under my eyes, which was a pretty self-consious thing to have in the first place, but now I've got red spots in random places making the dark circles stick out.

Is this all normal, and how do I get rid of this irritation? Please help! I'm too young to be foreveralone.

Alright generally with soaps or any type of thing you apply to your skin it will have something which says "Stop using if: with a list of possible effects and under that will be a box starting with the sentence "Consult a doctor if: and under that is generally listed "If irritation or rash occurs. It will say on the box what to do if this type of stuff happens. By law they must add this. If there is nothing on the box I would say to stop using it and consult a doctor. At the least you are probably allergic to something in the substance. I even have this warning on my box of hand soap and its just ordinary hand soap.

Drink more water and eat fruit and veg to get rid of those dark circles.

When I first started using my face wash + medication it felt like my face was getting bombed. After 3 or 4 weeks it stopped burning me but still dried me out. Then my doc changed my medication to stuff that doesn't dry me out because of that.

I say keep trying the stuff you got and invest in some gentle lotion. If nothing helps, you might have to hit up a doctor.

Also if you are popping pimples or even touching them after washing, stop that. I learned firsthand that it not only makes them stand out more and makes them BRIGHT red, but also makes them bigger and can make scars. Only pop them if they are white and look like they would pop just by brushing on something.

Generally, if somethings causing an irritation, you should stop it as soon as you can...

I dunno what Freederm is, but it certainly doesn't sound like it's working for you.

If you have oily skin, try a salicylic acid based wash. I use one with that, pumice and clay and have found it works wonders and doesn't make my face dry and sore. And of course, if it doesn't work or makes it worse for you, STOP using it.

Also, taking a zinc and magnesium supplement can help, as they're both really good for skin.
