Is it normal to keep having dreams about things you're afraid of?

I am forever dreaming about things that scare me. For example, I am TERRIFIED of bugs, and big spiders. I always dream about them though, as well as tornadoes. I also have "end-of-the-world" dreams. When I have those kinds of dreams (especially the bug ones) I wake up and look around to see if there really is a bug or spider in my room. The other night there was a thunderstorm and I fell asleep, but dreamed about the storm being worse than it really was. I dream a lot about things I'm afraid of, especially bugs. Does anybody else have this problem?

I agree. When I am particularly worried about something I dream that my teeth are falling out. I spent a lot of years with braces etc and spend a lot of money on dental care so it is my one fear (which is why I don't smoke too). Your worries may be totally unrelated to the things you're really frightened of.

    Wana laf?
My dad was having a nightmare and thrashing about saying, "Oh No. Wake me, wake me!" so my mom nudged him to wake up. He said, "Thanks, I dreamt I was getting married again and the minister was at the top of the aisle waiting for me." We laughed for months!

I'm not sure what they are really, but to me it just sounds like stress dreams. I have them a lot too. But this is normal.
