Is it normal to just want to lose more and more weight?

Is it normal? I always set a goal for myself to lose weight. Once I reach my goal, I always will look in the mirror and set another goal, to lose even more. My friends tell me I've lost enough and that I shouldn't try to lose more. I'm 5'4" and weigh 104. My goal right now is 99. I weighed 110 last time and my goal was 104. I've set goals in amounts of about 5 pounds at least 5 times before this. My friends keep telling me to stop with the goals so I stopped telling them, they don't know I'm still trying. I just don't feel happy with myself yet. I feel like the more weight I lose, I will feel happier with my appearance, but then once the weight is lost, I feel I didn't do good enough.

    Hi guys. Thanks...
I had a doctors appointment today.
I was diagnosed with a minor case of AN.
Thank you for trying, but I now know that I guess it's not normal... I never saw it coming. It just felt good to me, to be losing it. But thank you..

You are already at the very bottom of the healthy range for your BMI 20-25 and are about to go into the danger zone for osteoporosis. I would advise you to stop losing weight immediately as you are now too thin. However, it sounds as though you have developed anorexia as you have found that you are good at losing weight. Speak to your mother and doctor at once - you have now developed an eating disorder.

Any thinner and you will not only look ill but ugly and gaunt.

15 years ago I went to Weight Watchers and regularly lost 2lbs every week. However, I became so thin that I could barely sleep at night as my bones were jutting into the mattress. The WW targets were lower than they are today by about 7lbs. Today you would be in the perfect BMI range between 146 lbs down to 117 lbs at the very minimum!!

Please get help at once before you become seriously ill.

I have never understood why some people are so obsessed with losing weight.

It's normal to have the desire to want to lose more weight but honestly it's not healthy in most cases. If your body has the curves then it should stop right there. The purpose of losing weight is to improve your health and to strive for a more attractive appearance. That's the furthest it should ever go. Anything beyond that is just crossing the line and putting your health and image at risk.
