Is it normal to just stop talking to all your friends?

I recently just stopped talking to basically all my friends. I have a daughter and all they ever want to do is party and bring my 2 year old with me. Or they use me for a ride somewhere and send me on my way. They dont understand that I have to be respnsible now and that I feel so used when I am with them. I love my friends but if this is the way they are going to be I just don't want to be by them.

i have done that a few times, cut my friends off to see who takes to time out of their busy life to call me. I dont like the idea of one-sided friendships. Although i dont have a child and my friends are not much for partying anyway.

i'd recommend finding new friends. They likely are not worth your time, especially if you feel like they are using you.

try talking about it with them first.

All your doing is confusing them and alienating yourself. My guess is that your friends are not the type to process a relationship through communication. And I'd bet also thatneither are you (you know what they say about birds of a feather $

you have a baby now, so maybe it's time for you to find friends who have young children (something more in common with you than your old friends)

if they ask you for a ride, then send you on your way, tell them you aren't a free taxi.

If you feel you have a 1-sided relationships with your friends, feel free to cut them off and see if they try to reconnect with you. Only the friends that really care will wonder where you have been.
