Is it normal to just not be able to sleep no matter how long you try?

Last night, I tried going to sleep. I spent 3 hours just trying to fall asleep. I tried closing my eyes, opening a window, turning down the heat, getting another pillow. It all didn't work. Another thing is that I had a big exam today.

Is this Normal?

    I am having trouble sleeping right as I type this. I get like this a lot especially if something is making me anxious.

    That sucks! I have the opposite problem. Could sleep pretty much anywhere, anytime. Always tired too :(

    Anytime I have an exam or somethig I worry to much to sleep it's just beig anxious totally normal
