Is it normal to judge posters by their colour?
Is it normal to think posters on this website can be grouped by their colour? If so, state the colour you follow.

I used to think that people with the same colors tend to have similar qualities, but now because of IIN Gold... there's too many colors...

I respectfully disagree. I like most of the new colors and think they add some very nice variety.

I never said that I didn't like the new colors. Just that there were too many colors to determine similar personalities traits. I have to talk to the people who have all the new colors to get a feel of what they're like. Basically, more research to do. :P

Ok. My apologies then.
I would not think that there is much of a correlation if at all really. To me, they are mainly just colors and don't really have a whole lot to do with a user's true personality. That's not to say that a user's color doesn't tell you just a little bit about them though.
Also, I think this is a point to be considered, new users get a random color assigned to them. Unless they change it, or deliberately decide not to change it (which you would have no way of knowing unless they brought it up), judging their personality trait(s) based on the color of their username would then be erroneous (is that the right word?).
Could it possibly be (and I do not mean this in an offensive manner, just an inquisitive one) that you are just superimposing these "similar personality traits" on the users with similar colors? If you think not, then I would be interested to hear your observations on what types of personalities/characteristics certain people have who choose/have similar colors. If, that is, you would be willing to share your observations :)

Well, I see some correlation between the colors, but not enough to really get a good conclusion based off past experience. I wish I paid more attention to the colors before the new ones got introduced, but that just means I have more colors and more personality traits to find, which for me is fun.
I see certain colors respond to certain questions on here. There were times where there was five yellows who responded and only one blue and other times where all the colors responded, so I have to look back and see, but I feel as though the colors tend to in a way reflect the aura of the question that is asked (if that makes sense). I'm still in the process of determining people's answers and personality based off colors though.
It also seems like colors get along with certain other colors. I tend to be okay with colors like the blues (or green and purple), but I usually don't like pinks. I tend to get along with my own color though and I've noticed that a lot of people talk to their own color and get along with their own color.
Feel free to help, if you find (or anyone else who reads this) finds any evidence or anything that might help let me know. Perhaps you can even tell me a little about yourself? I can see if any other greens are like you.
By the way, I didn't know the new ones get assigned colors if they didn't choose one because I chose one. I thought choosing one was mandatory when you signed up or something so that's good to know.
Also, don't be afraid to give me a book of text, just saying....

I have seen a post get all green before, and I have also seen a post get all blue before (but I spoiled that one by commenting, haha). I really don't know if what you are saying has any validity though. In my mind, it seems like it could just be coincidence. I tend to comment on certain stories though, and I have been wondering if anybody has figured out my pattern yet.
I get along with most people here, so long as they are decent. Once again, color doesn't seem to have anything to do with it, to me. I am much the same way in real life though; I am a likeable person.
I would actually prefer not to describe my characteristics right now. If you see my comments on here often though, I tend to talk about myself every once in a while, and I'm sure you can get a good feel for how I am as a color- I mean, user. :P
There was a poll/story a while back that was talking about too many usernames with the color blue. In the potential explanations, someone pointed out that blue is the default selected color when new members sign up. They have the option to change it, but many just don't. So, TheManagement decided to make the default select a random color to add some variety. They can still change it too.
Thanks, I won't worry about writing you long responses then :) I just wasn't sure how you'd react to that unprovoked wall of text. I just got to typing and I had a lot to say I suppose. I know some people don't have a lot of time or patience to read/discuss long comments, so I felt compelled to write a disclaimer. Lol.
