Is it normal to join the army just to get revenge for 9/11?

I'm 19 and I'm a Muslim. I don't come from a religious family but I grew up in an Islamic country. Believe it or not the real believers of Islam are disgusted by what these terrorists are doing. They are not Muslim terrorists, they are terrorist that happen to be Muslims! Ignorant people like you make me so angry. If you want revenge instead of going over there and killing people you could be joining organizations that help people around the world, educate people! Make love not war.

You're sick and you need help. How could you live if you know you're killing innocent people in Iraq. Btw it wasn't Iraq who caused 9/11. It was a bunch of Egyptian, Saudi Arabian, and Lebanese terrorists who were financed by a Saudi Arabian guy living in Afghanistan sheltered by pakistanies. Iraq had nothing to do with it.

I do believe that it is alright to feel strongly towed what happened on 9-11. but that gives you no right to say tue Muslim beliefs are irrational and dangerous. You are on ignorant person and shouldn't be in the army in the first place if you only go because of that. It was terrorists who committed the crime! Not innocent islamic people. My cousin is actually Muslim and was born in Pakistan and he gets treated so badly in that U.S. it's sickening. Go educate yourself.

Okay, well, I know this war is alot of George Bush's fault. But I suppose he was right for sending our troops for war. If we rolled over and cried and didn't fight back after the 9/11 attack, then we would most likely be considered pushovers by other nations, and it wouldn't look good to our people. I am Muslim i live in jordan , i've just read what you said , and other articles about muslims And this is how i answer you guys :

When i knew about what happened at 9/11 i felt seriously bad and mad !
And if u guys didn't know terrosits also bombed 3 hotels which are ( Raddisson sas hotel , Hyatt hotel , and 5 stars hotel which is called Days in )

anyway one of these hotels had a wedding and actually it was one of my relatives, my grandpa and grandma , uncles and aunts of mine died at that accident ! and guess what it was at 11/9 which is obviously the opposite of 9/11 !

so you can not say that Muslims are terrorists, and we Muslims don't consider those terrorist people are from our religion anyhow !

i am almost 18 , and just to let every body know i've been to america a thousand times , my dad is a respectable lawyer in jordan , we own 4 cars which are Bmw , Mercedes and 2 Audis , we own 2 apartments , a few lands , which is almost familiar for a family to have in jordan.
( and by the way jordan is one of the poorest countries in water , petrol , and natural ! )

for me , i own ps3 , xbox , almost every kind of Macintosh products . my dad doesn't hit my mom , my teacher doesn't hit me , in fact he treats me like a son , i do know english language and is learning French too , and i pray, read Quran , goes to Starbucks ! and know what toilet paper is ( cause i read a comment that said at (Muslims jokes) that we don't use toilet paper cause we don't even know what it is! ) , and still live my life !

I agree on getting mad. But It's just awful to think that on either side your on in any war, someone on the other side is going to think that you are the worst thing that has ever touched this Earth. Since you hate the Muslim terrorists, They hate you. They may not know you but I'm sure they hate others because of their beliefs.. Aren't we the same though? No matter what we will always be a hateful world. Us human beings have nothing to look forward to unless we learn to accept one another. Have you noticed the ones who try to change the world in good ways are looked down on? It seems like people just crave war.. Odd.

Ive been in the army since i was 17 i went in for pretty much the same reason but if you go over seas with that frame of mind youll get yourself or someone else killed dont focas on revenge just on the mission
