Is it normal to jinx things too often?

It seems that I am the ultimate jinx and it sucks when it has to do with me and my life. Particularly, I'm in college and last year was my first time with roommates. I do get social anxiety so my first roommates didnt respect how I liked my space. So already based on knowing me having social anxiety, I basically previewed my experience in my head and it came true. I ended up switching roommates and they turned out awesome. I was happy and relieved. However, it was so good that I feared screwing up and we wouldn't get along so much anymore. And that came true. So now Im getting ready for my second year, as a senior though since I am a transfer, with my new roommates. They're all new since it didnt end well with my second group of roommates or else I would've lived with them. So now I'm just extra preparing myself mentally to not screw up with these new roommates. However, when I don't feel comfortable I can't hide it so I'm also mentally preparing myself on how to not make it such a big deal like before. In order to prevent another bad experience and possibly make good friends, what can I do? I'm looking forward to another chance of having a good time with my roommates and not end it bad. I'm more nervous than excited though.
