Before I flush, I look at my dumps. I just wanna make sure they're not some odd color like a weird green or yellow... or red.
Other day, I bought dyed bright blue from bagel shop in honor of Yankees home opener game. Limited time blue bagel. I ate it and my pooped came out so BLUE!!! Lol. Yes, it's normal to check your bm because of colon cancer and pancreas cancer can run in the family and never know....
I usually check mine too it's totally normal cause I usually see if mine has blood cause I've had bowel troubles before
It's a very healthy thing to do that. In some countries, the toilets have little ledges specifically for inspection purposes.
Auctully this may sounds odd to some poeple but as dappled said its healthy infact when doctors or vets inspect your poop they ask is it yellow , green , blue chunky dry the diffrent colars and texture shows how healthy you are and blood is a very bad sign just so you know " .

Just wanna say that what Andyen said is untrue, green poops mean your body hasn't digested the food properly. And yes i think checking your BMs is normal.
Green poops are actually good. It means you've been eating alot of vegitables or healthy foods that have either green die or just are in the veggie food group...... so yeah.. i do it to... though what does white mean?
