Is it normal to imagine race when reading comments

I've been frequenting this site for a few weeks now. I've come to "know" some of those who frequently post comments. For some reason, when I "picture" the commenters in my head, I always think of them as "white" Americans or Brits. Even though I'm not "white" myself. Like, for some reason I just never imagine someone of African or Asian descent commenting on this site. I don't know why. Is this normal?

    Sure, because black people are too busy getting stoned, shooting each other, and loitering on street corners for no apparent reason to visit online forums.

      Wow...you're ignorance is sickening (yet, sadly funny) beyond reason. Get a life, gain at least some kind of cultural knowledge, and stop watching so much tv. By the way, I'm black.
