Is it normal to hope certain people wil forget that it's your birthday

My family didnt even remember my last birthday!

hmm noo I wouldnt say so unless there is a reason you want them to feel guilty because of something they did before otherwise no thats not normal

I want people I work with to forget it's my birthday because the office birthday cakes make me feel really self conscious lol. Usually I leave town on my birthday so I don't have to get let down by anything or someone forgetting. Just the fact that I'm in a different city with a few of my favorite peeps makes each birthday better then the last :)

Why would you want people to feel guilty? That doesn't sound nice unless they are complete ar**holes in which case they shouldn't be your friends to say happy birthday to you anyway...
