Sounds like you need to drink to relax when it comes to sex. Liquid courage. Sober sex is a totally different experience and it's definitely worth a try!
I can only tell you it's not very smart. Your judgement is impaired and that can lead to a lot of problems. What you need to look at is how much and how often you are drinking. If drinking changes your personality or leads to many uncomfortable situations, that's a huge red flag.
