Is it normal to hear your heart pulsating in your head

for the last 6 weeks i can hear my heart pulsating in my left ear sometimes it sounds like a whooshing sound and bad headaches it just wont go away i had an asd closure nearly a year ago and lots of skipped heart beats eversince can anyone help

  • i only get it when im in bed with my head on a pillow, but then sometimes it gets really loud and even when i take ma head off teh pillow i can still hear it, is that normal? xx

  • It's the noise of blood coming in and out of parts in your ears I get it during headaches

    I had that for a period of time. Have you ever heard of tinnits? It comes and goes for me. Tinnitus can be harmless or a symptom of a bigger problem, it won't hurt to mention it to your doctor. Good luck!

    i have already mentioned it to my doctor, but he just said if i have a discharge to come straight back and that was it really

    I often hear it, depending on my surroundings (ie: if it's quiet) but with no other symptoms. Since this is a new development and you have other symptoms, get it checked. It might be you blood pressure. Regardless, your heart is kind of important. You really don't want to mess with that. Better to have it checked and find it's nothing, than NOT have it checked and find it was something.
