Is it normal to hear weird noises in my stomach?

If I am laying down at about a 45 degree angle and I drink something really cold, I have this really loud noise in my stomach under my left rib. It actually hurts my ribs. Its almost like as soon as I swallow, you can hear it under my ribs. It hurts when its making the sound. Is this normal? It only does it when I'm drinking and laying back.
