Is it normal to hear voices?

A while ago I was diagnosed with an unspecified psychotic disorder, I was mentally unstable but after a while I recovered by myself, the hallucinations had finally gone away and I was back to normal.

I feel very happy and cheerful these days and I’m glad to work on stuff and be motivated!

Thing is: I usually hear voices at night... sometimes in the day to.

These voices are usually very brief, sometimes saying “Hello.” Or “Hi.” Or even my name.

What’s stranger is that usually these voices sound like the voices of my parents and classmates?

they don’t really bother me, it sometimes gets spooky but I don’t really mind it. They don’t actually affect me.

So I was wondering what it is?

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

That's strange. But it doesn't sound like it affects you much, so it's fine. I hear my name being called sometimes, even though no one called me.

There are loads of explanations for hearing voices .. it depends on a bunch of things, including age.
I started hearing voices when I was 19, and every doctor has a different theory, as do I.
As long as they aren't interfering in your normal life and aren't scaring you to death I don't think you should worry, just keep an eye on them

Unspecified psychotic disorder? Sounds like schizophrenia to me.
