Is it normal to hear people talking about me?

I'm still a teenager, so I guess its normal to think people are talking about me behind my back, but I dont think this is normal. Almost everyday, when I hear a laugh, see someone smile, or just talking to someone, I immediately think their talking about me. Like they are trying to hurt me. Somedays, when I have low self esteem, like about my hair, I think that they are planning the kill me, or to humiliate me publicly. Then, when I feel pretty, I think someone's going to rape me, or that every boy I walk past wants to have sex with me. Am I crazy?

if you are looking hot, and someone is checking you out, you should be able to tell. Sometimes the stare is a little creepy... Stay vigilant, of course maybe you dont like being humiliated, i know that feeling well. In fact my greatest wish is to be assassinated or killed in some random event, never see it coming.

Its ok to have low self esteem somedays. Sometimes you look in the mirror and you can feel good about yourself and if you can take advantage of it great. I cant everyone is gonna want to rape you, but maybe your just that damn fine... I should hose you down girl (lol)

that's cos they are talking about you.

    no not really.

it just means you're too self-conscious and need to stop worrying about what everyone else says

Sounds like you are on the precarious boundary between vigilance and paranoia.

Be careful, and realize that not everything is about you.

It's kind of normal, but you are taking it too far. People have their own lives and I don't really think they are constantly talking about you.
