Is it normal to hear other people in your head

Well, i don’t think I have heard to anything much this mine, but one Female a little older then me named hope, who says it is best to skip meals, hates it when I eat, take my meds, and tell me mean things. Also jake, who is a lot of worry and fear.

Auditory hallucinations of schizophrenia. Take antipsychotics.

Thanks for your options, I did talk to a friend and many signs point to DID... I do see a therapist for other reasons already

If the voices come from inside your head it's unlikely to be schizophrenia or psychosis ..
If you think you have DID you should see a psychiatrist, they can diagnose more accurately than therapists.

Probably be a good idea for you to tell your therapist about the voices.

Probably schizophrenia. See a psychologist, or psychiatrist, etc.

    It's normal for some people.

I actually had a co-worker like that a year back. Very sweet guy, but he hears voices as well. Last time I spoke to him, he's been seeing his doctor regularly, and taking his medication to keep the voices at bay. He seem a lot better, but sad that since hearing voices is not widely accepted as normal in society, he has to keep his condition private from friends.

You're not alone. However, anything associated with hearing voices, such as schizophrenia and more are still being studied, but making a lot of progress. So, see a doctor.

I don't think it's abnormal. You're just talking about memory, it seems. You're hearing a voice in your head that you before really heard. A sound or someone's voice after hearing it is then just programmed into your memory, just like remembering anything that you've heard. Remembering something, whether it's something you've seen or heard, is programmed into your memory, then you remember it, and you either see or hear it again in your head. It's called memory. There'd be something wrong if you can't do that, am I right?

Nah, think my co-worker has schizophrenia coupled with PPD. I guess I should have made this clearer, but he told me the voices tell him to hurt people around him before they hurt him. He doesn't want to hurt anyone, but the voices in his head are very demanding and it scares him.

No, that's not normal what you're saying there about voices telling you to hurt someone and the voice being demanding about it scaring him. That's not what I thought they meant, I just thought they meant remembering, hearing someone's voice in your mind in the memory sense.
