Is it normal to have your first crush at the age of 9

I didn't notice boys much until I was in 7th grade, that was the first time I had a serious crush. But it's normal at a young age. It's just an innocent crush.

Well my first kiddy crush was in fourth grade on another boy named Micheal because he was just cool, like the bada** of the class, I guess a precursor to my being a homosexual. However my very first heartfelt crush that did make me experience a ton of emotion was in 10th on a guy who I had become good friends with, which evolved from a weird admiration.

My first crush was in grade one. Yes, I was like.. six.

I didn't start getting crushes until about the age of 11... but many of my friends at the time already fancied guys and some had there first kiss when they were 9. Not sure how I would feel about that if I was a parent! Looking back now 9 is just so young... and it seems "to young" but thats what some 9 year olds go through and nothing can stop it. Everyone is unique.

because of the media, and other things in childrens lives that they are exposed to, they think its 'cool' to have a crush on someone . and it will make them 'normal'. they are not really experiencing love. just kids trying to act older.

It's VERY normal for your nine year old daughter to have a crush on a boy. It will most likely be the first of many crushes.

i was in second grade, and it was another boy like me, and i'm not even gay.
Psychologists say that same sex crushes are normal when you are real little.
