Is it normal to have white rubbery bits coming out/off skin?

Over the last month or so I've been noticing these small white rubbery things just sitting on my skin (back, back of my neck, shoulders, legs, hands and sometimes in my hair)
It feels exactly like rubber and breaks apart just like it. It's worse when I come out of the shower.
There are no visible holes or marks left from it whenever I remove it from my skin.
I'm not on any medication, suffer from acne (but this is not acne), haven't changed my diet, don't smoke or drink alcohol, and I've never seen or heard anything like this.
I'm too nervous to go to the doctor in case something is wrong with me or I'm looked at like a freak.
What is wrong with me?

I think you should see a dermatologist. Don't take no for a answer. Keep going to different ones until you find out what it is. Blood work/genetic testing might help. How long have you had this? Maybe you could bring a sample to the doctor and they could test it. It might even be mites or a fungal infection. Good Luck:)

Thanks for your response. Yeah, I think that I may have to go and see one unfortunately it's a 3-6 month wait so I guess it's going to take some time to find out what is wrong. I've had this on and off for the past month only on hot days. The next time it flares up I'll keep a sample so that they can test it. I don't know much about mites or fungal infections so I'll have to read up about those. Thanks :)

Sounds like larvae, I suggest seeing a parasitologist, could be a parasitic thread worm infection, or even scabies, u should definitely seek medical attention. Parasite infection can be harmful to internal organs. Try doing a liver cleanse and use a plastic fork to check your stool for parasites..you can find how to check toilet bowl for parasites by dr Hilda Clark, parasitologist on utube. Most gp's don't know much about this and commonly misdiagnose, but it is a very real problem and there are easy ways to irraticate once identified.

You could be peeling. Some people will have dry skin and start peeling really bad. Everyone loses layers of skin. Some people get it worse though.

Ok this definitely can't be skin shedding as this stuff is now coming out of my mouth. I'm also starting to smell burning rubber all the time and also have absolutely no energy to do anything even after I have eaten. Not sure if all of this is connected to the stuff coming off/out of my skin/body. This is starting to become very scary for me and I have concluded that this IS NOT normal! I've decided to get over my fear and I've made an appointment to see a doctor tomorrow. After I get some results back and find out what is wrong with me I'll let you all now the results just in case someone else ends up suffering from this.
Thank you all for your comments

Hi Lucrezia, I know it's been a while but can you please update on this ? I am experiencing something similar and am curious as to what your doctor had to say about it .

This sounds just like dry skin sheading there is usually more of it when you get out of the shower and rub your arm and a bunch of tubby skin comes off. Yes it is normal.

I don't know much about dry skin shedding but I don't have any dry skin. What I have is little white balls or pieces that look like polystyrene, plastic or rubber. Can dry skin shedding look like this? I've rubbed my arm in the shower and all that comes of is little pieces of what I described earlier not actual skin. What is tubby skin?

Thanks for your reply but unfortunately this is definitely not milk spots. With milk spots you see markings on the skin but there is no marks left from this rubber stuff that I always find on top of my skin not under. It's like it magically appears out of thin air.
Imagine you've got some rubber shavings on your skin which is not connected to anything on the skin in any way. It just sits there and is worse after a shower or after I wake up.
